ZiRu Dance has been given its second grant from the California State Department to foster a cultural exchange through movement between Chinese and U.S. choreographers. This year the choreographers will stage and exchange movement that examines the challenges of a tumultuous year.

Cultural Exchange
2020-2021

Artists

Two U.S. choreographers and Two Chinese choreographers will be chosen.

Storytelling

Curated by Philein and ZiRu Dance, each piece will examine life in the time of COVID.

Exchange

The choreographers will collaborate with one another in both the creation and setting of movement resulting in four unique works.

Showcase

All four pieces will be presented in the Silicon Valley Dance Festival in December of 2021
